Eleganza in Movimento – Switzerland
“Eleganza in Movimento” is the concept that inspired Stefano Notargiacomo in the creation of this work.
Square and circular forms intertwine starting from the bottom where a double base, round brown and square gold mirror, frames the Roman travertine block that supports a series of gears welded together.
The central element is the trumpet horn for historic cars, whose shape recalls a circular symbolism, linked to movement and cyclicity.
According to some cultures, beauty lies in imperfection, and in this work the split travertine, the dents in the horn and the welded gears are highlighted as sources of expression.
The use of Roman travertine with its natural cut, juxtaposed to the mechanical gears, is intended as a reference to the harmonious union between man and nature, just as the elegance of a vintage car can be enhanced by the surrounding environment in which it moves.
